Very Sick Pig Abandoned In A Shelter Has Recovered Incredibly

A guy brought a sick pig to a shelter near Temecula, California, claiming that he found it lost, but staff believe it was his property and that he merely wanted to leave it.

The shelter was not equipped to care for a pig, so she had to contact the staff at Sale Ranch Sanctuary and ask them to look after her, who was eventually named “Cherry Blossom.”

Sale Ranch Sanctuary’s CEO and creator, Jen Sale, stated:

“The rancher, according to the shelter personnel, brought her. He didn’t mind that she was ill. Instead, he just left her and claimed to have found her. She developed sarcoptic mange, which is one of the most severe varieties of scabies.”

Nobody knows what caused the scabies in Cherry Blossom, but Jen feels she was living in misery at her previous residence.

Jen stated:

“She was most likely born in overcrowded conditions. Because she is a newborn, her immune system is still maturing.”

Cherry Blossom suffered greatly as a result of scabies.

Jen stated:

“She was in tremendous agony when she came to us. You could see a lot of anguish and misery in her eyes.”

Even under these appalling circumstances, the tiny pig was always quite friendly toward Jen and her husband.

Jen stated:

“She wanted our comfort. I went over to provide the medication, and she immediately realized that we were assisting her. Despite the fact that she was in a lot of discomfort, she would cuddle up and ask us to touch her tummy. It simply goes to show how redeeming and loving animals can be.”

Jen began the Cherry Blossom treatment, which included healing cream massages and laser light therapy, with the assistance of a veterinarian.

Cherry Blossom looks and feels entirely different after two months of meticulous care.

Jen stated:

“Her hair is fully grown, and her skin is flawless. The transformation is very amazing.”

Jen stated:

“She plays with her ball, enjoys her mud hole, gets along with everyone, goes around with our dogs, and visits the animals in our pen. It’s nothing but love, and all he wants is the attention and affection of others.”

Jen opted to match Cherry Blossom with a rescued calf called Faith since she is very calm.

Jen also stated:

“They’ve been going on dates. We’re hoping to put them together this weekend.”

“We are glad for the opportunity to bring her home, care for her, and restore her health. Despite having had a tough start in life, she is now doing quite well. She’s going to have a wonderful life.”
